WHR is a community volunteer organisation and does not replace the emergency services.
For urgent medical help that is not life-threatening, call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk.

Check the current official alerts, warnings and any additional WHR local information.
Flooding
Find out what official flood warnings mean, what to do when flooding looks likely and how to recover after a flood.
Extreme heat
Find advice about staying safe, recognising heat-related illness and helping people who may be particularly vulnerable.
Extreme cold, snow or ice
Find advice about staying warm, travelling safely, recognising cold-related illness and checking vulnerable residents.
Power cut
Report a power cut, find safety advice and consider anyone who depends upon electricity for heating, communication or medical equipment.
Does someone need additional support?
WHR Community Vulnerable Register
The register is for residents who feel they may need additional assistance during flooding, extreme weather or another significant community incident.
There are no specific qualifications and there is no charge.
Utility Priority Services Registers
Electricity, gas and water providers offer additional support to customers who may find disruption particularly difficult.
The utility registers and WHR Vulnerable Register serve different purposes. Depending upon their circumstances, someone may benefit from both.

Our Help & Support Service is for residents who need individual assistance researching a problem, understanding their options or finding the most appropriate source of help.
Your question does not have to fit one of the categories above.
The service can help with matters such as:

- housing;
- health and social-care information;
- forms and official processes;
- legal and practical information;
- technology;
- finding appropriate local or specialist services;
- something completely different.
WHR will listen to your circumstances, research reliable information and help you identify an appropriate next step.
