Looking for a little warmth?

At this time of year, with cold weather, dark evenings and gloomy days, a warm, welcoming smile, and a cup of warm tea or coffee can go a long way… It is a time many people feel isolated and low, with credit card bills being the icing on the cake!!
Come and join in, it needn’t cost anything, help and advice are available, and a warm smile and friendly conversation may be just what you need. -

Coffee & Company

We have teamed up with the recently re-launched Health Hub, hopefully to mutual benefit for everyone, in launching Coffee & Company. A drop-in for anyone who wishes to drop in, either whilst visiting Health Hub or independently. Our amazing Pastoral Care team will be on hand, and NHS Social Prescribing, who are a regular in Health Hub will be available to help support residents.
We are very aware at this time of year people can become a bit socially isolated, and hopefully this warm friendly service will be a benefit.
If you are suffering with any degree of loneliness, feel free to reach out, or call in to any of our sessions, or Health Hub, the first step is the hardest, but also the most rewarding.

The Vulnerable List

If you, or somebody in your immediate family is vulnerable then contact us to be added to The Wraysbury & Horton Vulnerable list.
The Vulnerability may be as a result of old age, infirmity, a newborn baby or broken leg.. We don’t have any inclusion criteria, and don’t require any medical check-ups.
If your on the list, our team will be able to give you additional help, we will call or message you to let you know of situations that might be a cause for concern. We will make the community responders aware of your situation in the event of an emergency, e.g. local flooding, storm, heavy snow etc. Indeed the local flood volunteers will only help support or evacuate those individuals who are listed on The Vulnerable List, as they assume everyone else is capable to help themselves, and they will focus efforts on the vulnerable.
If you would like to discuss this further, simply call us on 07808~654321 or come and see us at one of our drop-in sessions.
It’s Free to be on the list, and all volunteers who use it hold an enhanced DBS, the information is safe and secure.
